The Twin Falls School District #411 Board of Trustees is pleased to announce Lisa Honas will be taking the role of Principal at Rock Creek Elementary School on July 1. They made this announcement Monday, May 8 at their regularly scheduled board meeting.
Honas is currently the Associate Principal at Rock Creek and Lincoln elementary schools. Honas has served as an associate principal in the TFSD at various schools since 2018. Prior to becoming an associate principal, Honas taught in the Twin Falls School District for nine years serving as a kindergarten teacher at Lincoln Elementary School. Honas received her master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Idaho in 2017 and her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Boise State University in 2009.
“I am thrilled to be taking on the principal role this next year. We have a talented group of educators and wonderful families at Rock Creek. There has been a solid foundation built under Mrs. Cowger’s leadership and I hope to continue and extend that in the coming years .” Honas said.
Honas will fill the role previously held by Shari Cowger who announced her retirement earlier this year.
