Twas the night before Reading with the Stars, when all through the halls, Not a whisper was heard near the Lincoln Elementary walls. The streamers were strung and the stars hung with care, In hopes that the families soon would be there. The books were all nestled, stacked neat on the shelves, By three high school boys—our industrious elves! They traded their jerseys for literacy cheer, To make sure the magic of reading was near. With every star shining and the library set, It’s the best Lincoln night that we’ve planned for us yet. So grab a new story and follow the light, Happy Reading to all, and to all a good night.

Galentine's Day was lots of fun at Lincoln. The halls were decorated in notes of praise and celebration recognizing every staff member. The staff was also treated to a yummy breakfast. Special thanks to Mrs. Mix, Ms. Jess, and our kitchen staff for making the day extra special.

Hats off to Miss McNeil's talented friend! At the start of the school year, each of Miss McNeil's kindergarten students colored in a hat - just they way they liked it. The drawings were collected and sent to Miss McNeil's friend. This talented lady turned each picture into a reality. On Friday the 13th, the hats and drawings were returned to each child. What a special gift!

The kindergarten classes had a special guest visit on Friday the 13th. Our local public librarian came and read to all of the students. Then she gifted every kindergartener with the same book that she had just read to them.

We are so thankful to have such an amazing school counselor. Thank you Mr. Nickerson for all that you do for students, families, and staff. In honor of Counselor's Week, many staff dressed up like Mr. Nickerson; however, there is only one true, Mr. Nickerson. See if you can find him.

It can be so hard to leave our toys behind, but it is our school policy. Please remind your child that ALL toys must stay at home. Thank you.

Snow and excitement were in the air today at Lincoln! The kids couldn't wait to get to recess. They worked as a team and made some historic snowballs. We didn't need the snow to melt because they collected all of it. Everyone (well maybe not the grown-ups) had snow much fun! Thanks Mrs. Mix for capturing this moment.
