This year our theme is Lincoln Rocks! A lot of the staff had fun dressing-up like the rock stars that we all know that they are. Happy Halloween!

A special thanks to Mr. Shawn for organizing our Spirit Week. Remember, tomorrow is Black and Orange Day. Students can change into school appropriate costumes after lunch. Families are invited to attend the Halloween Parade, "Trick or Treat around the Track." The parade starts at 1:15. All guests will need to have their driver's licenses and check in at the office. It will probably be a long line, please be patient. After you have your visitors' badges grab a seat on the hill outside of the Kindergarten doors (you probably will want to bring a blanket. All of our volunteers will need to be ready by 1:00. Volunteers, please head to the area on the other side of the hillside to be given further directions. Happy Halloween!

Art Club flyers will be going home next week! Check with your child to see if they want to be apart of this amazing club! Children must be able to get a ride home from the club one day a week! Please check your child's backpack for this form!

Hello Families,
Thanks for participating in our fall colors day. Today is Mix and Match Day. Friday the kids will be allowed to bring their school appropriate costumes to school to change into before our parade.
We want to invite all of you to our Halloween Parade on Friday at 1:15 pm. Please plan to be situated by 1:15. You will need to get your driver's licenses scanned in the office. Then you can bring a blanket and find a spot to sit on the hillside outside of the kindergarten and first grade rooms.
Our Lions will make a loop near the track and receive goodies from local businesses. The PTO is still in need of volunteers to hand-out the treats. Volunteers need to report to the office at 1:00.
Please sign-up if you can volunteer.

What a beautiful evening for Parent Teacher Conferences. Tonight was the first big event that our new PTO Officers organized, with the help of Heidi Tubbs our previous PTO President. It was so wonderful, everyone ate it up. The PTO organized a Potato Bar for the teachers who were working late. Thanks everyone who contributed items for dinner. Thank you Genesis Organics for donating all of the tasty potatoes. Thank you everyone who organized and cleaned-up the meal. And, thank you families for attending conferences. If you have not scheduled one yet, please contact your teacher(s). PTO, we truly thank all of you for setting the "Bar" so high for future events (next up, the Halloween Parade- watch for info).

It is scary how many items are in our Lost and Found. The items are in the main hallway. Please stop by during conference to see if any belong to you. Thank you!

Once upon a time a wonderful librarian made a wish for funds to work with elementary schools. Her wish was granted! The Lincoln Lions get a monthly visit from the Twin Falls Public Library. The kindergartners are all read to and then they each get a copy of the story to keep. Thank you Mrs. Littlefield for selecting our kindergartners to benefit from your grant. We will all read, happily ever after.

These 2 Lions help to make every day a real TREAT! Speaking of treats, don't forget that Friday the 17th is an early out day. We dismiss at 12:45 (not a TRICK). See you at Parent Teacher Conferences.

Lincoln’s first graders were lucky to have the perfect weather, for a perfect day. They got to enjoy all the fun stuff at Tubbs Berry Farm and they each brought home a pumpkin! The students, and the teachers, all had a “berry” good time on their field trip.

Dear Lincoln Families,
We are pleased to let you know that school will be back in session tomorrow, Thursday, October 2.
Today, Starr Corp, the contractor working on our roof and HVAC project, carefully inspected the building and addressed needed repairs related to the water damage. They confirmed the structure is sound and have added extra protective measures to guard against future leaks should more rain occur.
A few classrooms in 3rd and 4th grade will be temporarily relocated to other spaces in the building while the restoration continues.
The safety of our students and staff is our top priority, and we are confident that Lincoln is ready to welcome students back for learning tomorrow. Thank you for your patience and support over the last few days.

Dear Lincoln Families,
Out of an abundance of caution, school will be canceled tomorrow, Wednesday, October 1, for all Lincoln Elementary students. Since our last update, the building has sustained additional damage, and we need time to fully assess the situation and make the necessary repairs.
School officials are working closely with the construction team to address the issues and ensure that learning spaces are safe and ready for students as soon as possible. We will continue to provide updates as we learn more and will communicate plans for reopening promptly.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through this unexpected challenge.
