Lincoln had their first PTO meeting of the year. Parents, teachers, and students were well represented. The students offered insights into their peers needs and wants. Many projects are already in the works. The new officers were elected and are ready to continue with the missions of this amazing organization. Please watch for opportunities to support the Parent Teacher Organization.

Labor Day
The elementary principals and their instructional coaches trained together today to learn more about an educational program designed to monitor and enhance instruction for our students. The i-Ready instructors shared valuable insights and support for getting our i-Ready program up and running. This team of educators will now assist in training all of the elementary teachers and support staff. It will be exciting to share the success of the program with the students and their families as we further progress in implementing I-Ready. Educational pathways will be created for each K-5 student. These pathways will build on each child's knowledge. Watch for updates throughout the year.

Hello Lions! Many of our families have chosen to block Lincoln as a contact. We respect your privacy, but are concerned about our inability to contact you in emergency situations. When children are sick or busing is altered, we can't keep you informed. Please double-check your phone to make sure that you don't have us blocked accidentally. Thanks for all of your support. We appreciate you.

Mr. Adam, draws the line at a school that is not safe and well maintained! He worked hard in the sun painting lines for our students to use during dismissal. The lines will help to organize the bus riders and the pick-up students. The students on the pick-up line cannot leave until they have notified staff that their family has arrived for them. We appreciate everyone being patient at dismissal time, as we double-check that your children are headed home with the right guardians. We also appreciate all that Mr. Adam does to take care of our students, staff, and building.

Working hard!
Leaping Lions, this school year is off and rocking! The students are all settling in nicely. They are learning the rules and procedures to help establish a safe and effective Learning Community. You can see some of our kindergartners practicing lunch room expectations. Mrs. Mix’s first graders are enjoying working with numbers. Thanks Lion Families for helping to start this year on the right foot (or should I say, paw?)!

Lincoln rocked the start of the school year. Our Open House was a monumental success. We had families meeting their teachers. We had free school supplies from Burger King and Project Succeed. Our Lions got to show their strength by dunking our brave security guard. A special thanks to the Filer Fire Department for setting us up with the amazing, dunk tank. Some of our Lucky Lions won raffle prizes donated by Tubbs Berry Farm, Noah Williams, Buffalo Wild Wings, and Beckmon’s Gaming Paradise. Our PTO had many families sign-up to support our school. We are off to a great start.

Open House

Don’t forget that tonight is Open House. Please join us from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Not only can your families meet the teachers and drop off school supplies, but they can also visit the Food Trucks and the Dunking Booth! Additionally, you can visit our PTO table. We are looking for PTO volunteers to help in ways that suit their schedules. There will be items raffled off by the PTO. Open House is free, but the food trucks, Dunking Booth, and PTO raffle require payments. Raffle tickets and Dunking Tickets sell 2 for $1 (check out the raffle items - thanks Beckmon’s Gaming Paradise and Buffalo Wild Wings for the donations). Thanks everyone. We can’t wait to see you tonight. Lincoln Rocks!

Dunking Booth tickets will be sold in the front hallway.
